One of these was in a set of 12 tri color pencils I bought. The description that it's multicolored doesn't seem right. There seems to be some difference in points on the leash, but not enough to show a difference. The blender itself works very well with tri-color pens. It doesn't leave a super waxy finish like Prismacolor mixers. It also doesn't feel as greasy when mixed. (The other one might leave more stains if you don't wipe off the crumbs thoroughly.) It also works well as a blender for other crayons. Because it doesn't have a greasy, waxy finish, I almost prefer what I have, prismacolor. What I don't like: mine is very crumbly. I'm used to the fact that clear bendable pencils are softer and more brittle than regular colored pencils, but this one sucks. The only way to get a decent amount of lead is to either glue the broken end back on, or just sharpen the tiny blunt end. The blender wears out very quickly. It may crumble when mixed. This issue could also be due to the fact that when feathering I tend to apply some pressure and use it to remove open spaces between strokes. (The amount of pressure to apply and crumbling also depends on the type of crayon I'm using the Tricolor Blender on. When I use it on Prismacolors, it doesn't crumble as much as it does on Tricolors.) This effect hides the crayon. Strokes, letting them flow through the paper fibers, creating a more painted look. Both this and the Prismacolor mixer will do the job with enough effort. It just wears out a lot faster. Needless to say, sharpening this blender is a nightmare. I'll try to buy an electric sharpener, maybe it will help. So I could sharpen colored pencils better than manual ones. I suspect that hand sharpeners become dull after some time of use. However, I really hope I can improve the rating over time, but for now I'm rating it a 3, hoping to get more use out of it. where he left. Use standard PVA glue like Elmer's or clear school gel. Tacky glue was gone. This glue didn't hold the leash in place. Leave the glue to work overnight. This allows for uninterrupted mixing until the next grinding session. I don't recommend trying the microwave because of the metal coating on the end of the handle. I had a bad experience trying this with another brand of pencils. Update: After I taped the lead to the pencil and sharpened it again, things started to improve. Bought an electric sharpener. Still got through the sharpening. It is still quite soft and wears out quickly. I can't have a sharp point without breaking it. Maybe the one I had was broken inside. So, recommendation: make sure you have a sharpener with a sharp new blade, not one that's been used a little. 2. Blender Pen: (included in set of 24): not as crumbly as the first. I can get a little sharper point on it. I bet about 3.5-4.
