Appearance: Very compact unit. Only the size of a small painting or a very thin briefcase. It opens up to three solar panels with stands on the back that allow you to tilt the device to capture more sun. It comes with many different DC adapters so you can have exactly what you need. Assembly: no. You take it out of the manufacturer's packaging and it's ready to use. The connector is in the back pocket, and that's where the extra attachments are stored. Thoughts: Finally I could use it with my new power plant. I set it up on the lawn, not in direct sun at first, but I knew the sun would be up in about an hour and I wanted to keep it out of the wet grass. I left it there all day and I could see it charging, but the power plant never fully filled. I'm not sure if it was my powerhouse or me, I still have to do some testing. Right now I'm giving it a 5/5 because I could tell it charges the power plant, so I tend to think I'm doing something wrong. My phone seemed to charge just fine. Overall: Good solar modules - endless power!
