Review on Rousseau 5000 Solution Miter Silver by James Mayberry

Finally! I've tried everything to dust my shop, and the miter saw is probably the worst culprit (I have a DeWalt 12" miter saw, so I'm basing my conclusions on that). Surround the saw and it kind of worked, but not quite. My friend brought this device to my attention (I think he wanted me to check if he bought it. Smart) and after using it I have to say this is the real deal. Even without a vacuum cleaner connected, the dust absorption capacity of this hood is very noticeable. Haven't really tried it with a shop vacuum as I can't get the adapter to fit yet (I think it's more of a ShopVac issue) but with the hose just loosely placed in the hood it makes a difference . The beauty of this thing is that the sawdust hits the smooth nylon (or whatever it's made of) and slides to the lowest point, which is the vacuum port. If you simply held the container down and shook the pouch after use, you would realize you hit it spot on. This is a brilliant design. At first I thought it would be difficult to connect, but after just looking at the instructions and then throwing them around, I found the device to be pretty intuitive to set up. If you value your lungs and your health, this is a very good investment in both!
