
This keeps my Ring Doorbell 2 battery not charging The battery loses capacity for weeks and taking it out and charging it for several hours is such a problem. According to other Ring users (see YouTube video) they need 40VA (Volt*Ampere=Watt) at 24VAC (AC) to have enough power to balance the power draw of the Video Doorbell (and infrared light) at night. . . This device only outputs 16V * 0.8A = 12.8VA. Additionally, each ring requires a 25 ohm 50 watt resistor connected to one side of the transformer in series with the ring doorbell to prevent the transformer from shorting out (and possibly catching fire) while the ring is on -Doorbell is pressed. I'm going to try an Elk TRG2440 24VAC 40VA AC Transformer with PTC fuse sold by: ProShop Deals for $18 at Revain. Good luck if this works for you.
