Review on Dorman 749 469 Passenger Window Regulator by John Maynard

I have 3 BMWs. With BMW OEM parts, you pay for the name, not the quality. BMW power windows are notorious for failure, so why replace them with expensive parts that keep failing? This regulator fits perfectly, works great and will hopefully last a lot longer than the OEM. Since Dorman restores Bugs from original parts, I'm sure they will last. UPDATE 02/20/2016: I replaced my regulator on 05/26/14. Since then I've only used a window for post-install testing. Yesterday I lowered the glass and unwound the cable. While Dorman initially appeared to be effectively reverse engineering a better part, the fact was that in my case the Dorman part did not perform any better than the OEM. At this point I drilled a hole in the pilot channel and inserted the set screw. keep the window up. I turned off the power so it wouldn't accidentally roll down. BMW power windows seem like a win-win situation. Since I never use the rear window anyway, I don't care.
