Review on πŸ”Š GE High-Gain Splitter Amplifier with Enhanced Resistance by Chris Parrott

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Moderate performance at a reasonable price.

This antenna is inexpensive and easy to assemble. However, I encountered reception problems and noticed that the frequency response of the two purchased antennas differed significantly. The two diagrams shown show the return loss of two antennas. If you compare them you can easily see that the reaction is completely different and I made sure they are put together in exactly the same way. The antenna gain for both devices is about 2 dB at 400 MHz and 6 dB at 700 MHz; However, the response between the low and high frequency range differs significantly. The maximum gain of the first antenna is at a frequency of 571 MHz and is 15 - 16 dB. The maximum of the 2nd antenna is 594 MHz with a gain of 20 dB. I can still use them by adjusting the antenna response to the channels I need to receive. However, most people don't have access to a spectrum analyzer, tracking generator, and return loss bridge to make these measurements. I would NOT recommend them other than reception which is less than 35 miles away.
