Moderate performance at a reasonable price.

This antenna is inexpensive and easy to assemble. However, I encountered reception problems and noticed that the frequency response of the two purchased antennas differed significantly. The two diagrams shown show the return loss of two antennas. If you compare them you can easily see that the reaction is completely different and I made sure they are put together in exactly the same way. The antenna gain for both devices is about 2 dB at 400 MHz and 6 dB at 700 MHz; However, the responseโ€ฆ

Excellent results - buy and give a chance!

I took a chance on purchasing this attic antenna. I live in an apartment building and don't have the option of mounting outside or in the attic. I decided to install it on my shelves in my front porch. It faces strictly east. The porch is fenced but overlooks the windows. Almost all of the towers are 33-40 miles east of me. (found this info online on several sites, just googled) Anyway, I have an indoor HD antenna that worked fine, mostly in the same place, but one day I assembled this antennaโ€ฆ

Attic Utilization - Antennas

I just installed this in the attic of my two story house with concrete tile roof and am getting 100% signal quality. I chose it because I live 30 miles from the train stations, so I decided to get something that can do twice as much to account for the damping through the roof. When it arrived I thought assembly would be required as the box is tiny. It took me 15 minutes to get ready. The instructions are a bit confusing as the first two pictures show reflectors installed upside down. Just useโ€ฆ

Awesome little antenna

This replaced one of the flexible flat antennas (said to be 40 miles) in the attic. Some of the stations were pixelated so I figured I'd need a rooftop antenna. I tried it in the attic, same mounting point as the old one, and got 18% signal gain (no signal quality, about 40% better quality) on the pixelated channel. I even received 2 channels that were previously inaccessible (and in the sidelobes of the antenna), but one is very pixelated and almost impossible to see. It was tedious toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 2 OUTPUTS - Splits a digital signal into 2 devices, equalizes and powers all ports.
Cons
  • Everything great

Great antenna that is easy to assemble and install in your attic

I' I get ready, "cut the cable" and dispose of the cable/satellite. In addition to various streaming services, I also wanted to connect HD digital channels over-the-air. For the record, I live in the middle of a decently sized (and sprawling) urban area. The transmitting antennas for the networks I monitor are about 8-10 miles away from me, usually clustered in one location (so I only have to aim in one direction). I tested this antenna in my house before installing it in the attic. I was ableโ€ฆ

Pros
  • IDEAL FOR RURAL AND SUBURBAN AREAS - Weatherproof antenna can be installed outdoors or in the attic and will receive 1080p and 4K signals up to 70 miles from a bad transmit signal

This antenna works!

I used one of those HDTV flat panel antennas for a couple of weeks until I went insane moving it a fraction of an inch to pick up all the channels with enough signal not to be interrupted. I sent the flat screen back and got this antenna instead. Yes, you need to assemble it. It wasn't as hard as I expected, but the instructions are so small and poorly written that GE just can't be a part of it. which manufactures the antenna itself. Yes, you must mount this antenna on a beam in the attic. Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • WEATHERPROOF DESIGN. The rugged design is designed for outdoor installation and placement in the best location to minimize interference from building materials and walls. This amplifier can be used on a pole, on a wall or indoors.
Cons

It's time to cut the cable.

I live in a suburb quite far from the city and many radio stations. I bought a GE 29884 antenna from Revain a few weeks ago. Along with the antenna, I bought a PCT 4-port Cable/HDTV/Internet Amplifier (model PCT-MA2-4P), just in case. I've tried to "cut the cable" and stop paying expensive cable fees, even for mainstream local TV stations. In addition to the fees, my cable company has switched to a system that requires cable TV boxes, which you can rent from them for $6 a month per box. I haveโ€ฆ
