Review on πŸ”Š GE High-Gain Splitter Amplifier with Enhanced Resistance by Scott Ramu

Awesome little antenna

This replaced one of the flexible flat antennas (said to be 40 miles) in the attic. Some of the stations were pixelated so I figured I'd need a rooftop antenna. I tried it in the attic, same mounting point as the old one, and got 18% signal gain (no signal quality, about 40% better quality) on the pixelated channel. I even received 2 channels that were previously inaccessible (and in the sidelobes of the antenna), but one is very pixelated and almost impossible to see. It was tedious to assemble, but the instructions were easy. It turned out that English was the native language of whoever wrote it. It's thin aluminum. If you hit him with a truck or lawnmower he won't survive, but he can survive any outdoor weather except for tornadoes and hurricanes. The assembly stand seems solid enough. Although I had planned to install it outside, the signal from the attic was good enough to abandon that plan and leave it as is. It's small enough not to be noticeable. Mine was in use and someone recklessly twisted everything. Probably the reason for the return. There were also no screws to attach the base of the rack. The workstand barely fits a standard 5/16" bolt, so don't lose it. Also assemble it carefully. If you do these things you'll think it's going to be a great inexpensive antenna. Do yourself a favor and pair your order with an amplifier splitter If you think you need a power amplifier, you probably need a larger and more directional antenna, as well as a much higher bracket to mount it.

Pros
  • 2 OUTPUTS - Splits a digital signal into 2 devices, equalizes and powers all ports.
Cons
  • Everything great
