Got almost what I paid for?

We had something similar a few years ago but it required a special aerosol cleaner which was expensive and required 2 people. One holds the can and presses the aerosol button, and the second holds the device and turns the pedal. Luckily for us it disappeared and we had to get a new one. It was inexpensive and didn't require any special cleaning supplies, so I decided to give it a try. Remember that there can be 2 different items in the list; one mimics the Park Cleaner and shows the top brush looking like a paddle wheel on a boat on the Mississippi - I don't have that. Another photo above shows a flatter brush, something like a "cleaning bladder" or brush disk. The solvent deteriorated pretty quickly, so I changed it to fresh twice. I paid less attention to the color than to the fine sand at the bottom of the tank; that's what the chain eats. I flushed the chain by filling the thing with fresh water and running it again, then dried the chain with a clean shop towel, banged it with a hair dryer for a few minutes, then oiled it with fresh chain oil. Clean your sprockets, at the same time they can absorb even more dirt. WARNING - this will get messy - nasty drops of solvent or water will land on the floor - be prepared. I don't expect it to last more than a few years. /several cleanings. It's pretty flimsy plastic and the gears inside don't move smoothly. As the title of the review suggests, I got almost what I paid for.
