07 Tundra with JBL Factory Lock

I purchased my Hizpo unit from a different site, but I would like to point out something that might save others some frustration: A minor wiring change was required to power a factory JBL amp in my 2007 Tundra. With an Android radio you need to connect the blue "AUTO ANT"" (on the power harness) with blue "AMP CONT" (on the RCA harness). The included instructions don't say anything about this, but it's noted at the top of the description If it didn't work I probably wouldn't get that Revain list The radio is quite nice with a clean modern look but I wish the screen was a bit brighter in daylight On the Bl If you look at the screen from the driver's or front passenger seat in the sun, it will wash out. Attached photo at full screen brightness n Live time is great even at the lowest brightness, maybe a bit too bright at the lowest setting. It automatically adjusts the day/night mode of the screen and the backlight of the side touch button triggered by the car's headlight switch. When turned off, the device goes into a low-power mode, so booting up is almost instantaneous. Sound quality is subjective but I find it a little sharper than standard but a little quieter. Bluetooth music streaming is even quieter than FM radio but still very convenient. Touch sensitivity is pretty good most of the time, but sometimes it takes two or three tries. include harnesses. I use both front and harness connection and everything works fine. My daughter charges her iPhone 6 via the USB port and we use the front USB stick as a flash drive. Please note that when we use an external charger and connect your iPhone to the auxiliary port, it will generate static electricity. So she discovered that the radio's USB port could charge her iPhone and eliminate static. I wouldn't expect fast charging or even 2A charging, but that's the option that seems to work for now. Haven't tried calling or connecting a backup camera yet, so can't comment on that yet. Hope someone finds this information useful!

Pros
  • The dashboard with built-in GPS navigation system only fits Toyota Tundra 2007-2013, Toyota Sequoia 2008-2014. (If your car is equipped with JBL system, the Hizpo stereo can work without any extra wires, you just need to connect the blue "AUTO ANT" (in the power harness) to the blue "AMP CONT" in the RCA harness.
