Fully welded triangle ring so it doesn't break. A metal tab is wrapped around the ring for extra strength, and a bolt hole goes through both layers as you can see. Also has dimples/bulges to prevent it all spinning around the bolt, they dig into the surface the hook is attached to. With a class 5 or 8 flanged bolt and washer, or a class 5 or 8 bolt with washers, I would trust the one with the advertised (and stamped) WLL 1000lbs/453kg. I'll be installing this in my crossover truck's tool box to attach things to the lid and add a light load attachment point near the cab as the box will cover the rack bags. I bought them more because of the size/shape and I could get them the next day, would buy again anytime.
