Review on Dremel 113 Engraving Cutter Shank by Talapon Blackburn

Revainrating 4 out of 5

good bit, wrong shank size in the description

the quality of the tool itself seems good but it's definitely NOT a bit with a 1/8" shank. It's 3/32" . does not fit the "standard collets 1/8". You'll need a 3/32" collet to use this bit, or maybe something like a Dremel #4486 nutless chuck that takes bits from 1/32" to 1/8". Update: Just bought new and this time the bits have a 1/8" shank with spiral cutting edges. I just found out an issue with the original order: Originally purchased from another Revain (Bamboo Leaf Tea) seller who had very old stock appears to have. Although the parts were sealed in original Dremel packaging, you could tell the packaging was definitely old. The bits were also 3/32" and had straight grooves with some corrosion as a bonus. In short, buy direct from Dremel, or at least check with the seller for the actual shank size and whether the bit is a spiral bit (which almost always cuts cleaner than straight bits). I have to assume Dremel redesigned the #113 bit for a while back so make sure you get a newer set.

Pros
  • bits
Cons
  • could have chosen a newer model
