I was looking for a wrench with smooth jaws that wouldn't scratch the brass bits I was servicing. This key seemed like a likely candidate, but it was actually the shape of the key that made me buy it. The key works fine but you have to be aware that it doesn't fully lock. When it is fully screwed in there will be a gap of about 3/4 inch. When fully open, the gap is 3 inches. But I strongly recommend not doing this as the wrench will fall apart if you push it too far. But it is quite easy to assemble. Because I'm using this on a water faucet - it gets wet. I dry it off at the end of the day and wipe it down with an oiled rag, which will hopefully keep it from rusting. the usual kind of wrench.
