Review on πŸ”ͺ KIWI 4" Sharp Pairing Knife with Wood Handle #503: Superior Precision and Durability by Chris Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I need more good things for the kitchen and dining room

This knife is perfect for a couple, it's very sharp and very useful, any kiwi brand knife is great. If I had to list the pros and cons, I would say: Pros: This knife is very sharp. The knife has a comfortable handle. It's easy to sharpen if you have the right tools, it's easiest to sharpen if you don't feel comfortable with it I wouldn't recommend it myself as it needs sharpening more often. It may develop slight rust if left in water. How to care for a knife: I use boiled flaxseed. Oil weekly, sand lightly, and recoat if someone puts it in the sink or dishwasher. If you don't like linseed oil, try varnish or some kind of polyurethane. Pretty easy as the diamond cuts quickly and you don't have to spend a lot of time as the steel is wafer thin. Grainy red ruby stone, they are fairly cheap all over the Amazon, <5$ 1"x 4" or 2"x 4" red road stone is very hard and gives a slightly specular shine. This step isn't usually necessary, but given the amount of effort that takes less than 5 minutes to do enough, I usually proceed. In summary, if you're willing to take care of a knife, this is a great knife. It's not the best knife for those who don't like knives, but it's certainly great value for money. If you are on a very tight budget I would recommend this as well as a chef or deba knife which is a kiwi style knife very affordable and of acceptable quality.
