Review on Battery Adapter DeWALT Dock Power by Darnell Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the best idea

I was thinking of making my own adapter when I found this one. That's cool. Now all my Dewalt 20v batteries are potential power sources. I used this to power some LED bulbs that I installed outside so I can position the light. b4 I actually connected them. I will be using it to power the LED bar on my motorcycle because I don't want to drain my main battery. The 6AH battery lasts 3 hours. The wire used for this should be around 12 gauge, so don't worry about that. I saw a video of a man starting his car with a Dewalt 20V 5Ah battery using wire to wire only, but that would be easy (if you try this be sure to use fast jogs and switch after starting run out quickly and try not to use it completely dead battery) so another application on the bike (which should be easy. I can think of a thousand other uses especially during a power cut. I've bought 2 now, maybe more later. UPDATE: ordered 2 more and they are different design than the 1st 2 which was 12 AWG with the wires far apart from the case the 2nd set used thinner wires I think 16 AWG less than an inch apart poor design especially since they are much smaller I think they don't worry about lawsuits if someone loads a big 9Ah battery into one of them and ignites that little wire. , shorting out the battery after em the insulation melts because plus and minus are so close together that the battery explodes.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
