Review on ๐Ÿพ Revolutionize Pet Access with the High Tech Pet Power Pet Electronic Pet Door by Tammy Johnson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It took a minute to get it right.

Don't expect to just poke a hole in your house and screw this thing on. If you don't have hands, you need help. Luckily, my electrical sensor unfortunately missed a power line that runs right down the middle of my door opening. This turned out to be fortunate as I now had to reroute the electricity and it gave me the option of installing a new outlet in the wall on a nearby post so I could relocate it in the wall. Bought a wall adapter to go with it and found it useful but not the best. I had to tinker and be patient. Had to install a J channel for my siding which was fun. I dug the hell out and checked everything carefully. Looks great and works great. It took my chihuahua pup a day to figure it out but my 14 year old terrier mix is having trouble adjusting. I still work with her. Like many others, I find the collars overpriced and the proprietary battery design just a poor form/decision on the part of the manufacturer. I think it reflects badly on her, but I knew what I was getting myself into. I'm deducting a star for that, though, because it's greedy. Design and quality of materials could have been better for the money, which also contributed to the 4 stars. The functionality is up to my expectations so far and I haven't had any problems in the last 3 weeks. It's nice to know that my furry friends can go outside when needed. I hope I have no mechanical problems. I will update as needed over time. I would recommend the product with the limitations I mentioned.
