I bought it to knit the sleeves of a sweater I'm knitting at the moment. In the first few rows I was ready to give up and pull my DPNs but decided not to give up and keep going. I won't lie, it takes some getting used to. They are tiny, uncomfortable to start the first few laps. But I continued to weigh the pain with DPN battle ladders and moved on. After lengthening the sleeve a bit, I didn't even notice how small the pins were. I felt like knitting normally, my speed was back to normal. If you have arthritis in your hands, this may not be for you. I have some problems with my hands and felt it when using it. I have small hands so I don't know if that makes it easier to get used to. I would end up buying more of these sleeve knitting needles and recommending them to others.
