To be honest it actually broke my ignition coil tabs but the way it is broken it looks like it's just old plastic. The tool fits snugly and snugly on the spool, so I'm pretty sure it's not the tool. That being said I didn't use it on the second spool, I could pull out the first spool by hand so I did the same with the second. Anyway, I just wanted to at least leave a review so people know that this will fit the coils on the 2008 BMW F800ST (I'm pretty sure all other ST years are the same).
