Most of my PCs are Macs, which typically only have USB-C ports for connecting monitors (although some models also have an HDMI port). However, if you're trying to connect a monitor to your Mac that doesn't have a USB-C port, you'll typically need to use an adapter. Therefore, whenever possible, I try to buy monitors with integrated USB-C. Until recently, only established brands like Dell and LG were selling monitors with USB-C connectors, and they tended to be very expensive. So I was excited to see this Sansui model, which sells for less than $150 but has USB-C. I tested it by plugging it into my Mac Mini and the Mac immediately recognized it as a 1080p monitor. It's been working great for me so far. It's only a VA panel, so color accuracy isn't as good as an IPS panel, but for the price, can't complain. The refresh rate is 75 Hz, making it suitable for general use such as word processing, email and web surfing. But I wouldn't use it as a gaming monitor. For gaming you need a higher refresh rate, but of course the monitor is significantly more expensive. A great monitor for my purposes. You can afford to order 2 of these for less than a single USB-C monitor would cost most companies. Plus, this monitor has both an HDMI and VGA port in addition to a USB-C port, so you can connect it to almost any computer.
