On old tires, accidents would not have been avoided. A cursory examination of the loss of spikes did not reveal a trip of 1800 km. Its cons: On a snowy turn (snow slush), the car was thrown, but apparently I had already relaxed and did not take winter caution when driving. Noise is present, of course. I read that it goes away some time after rolling the spikes. So far, it remains, but for the winter it seems to be a common occurrence.
