I love Knitter's Pride Zing replacement needles. They knit up quickly, aren't too slippery, and don't lose my stitches every time I put my project back in my bag. Zings are also good because they're not so sharp that you could hurt yourself while knitting, but they're still sharp enough to work with toe or sock yarn with ease. I've used them with the Knitter's Pride and Knitpicks interchangeable cords of various lengths and they work great with both brands. If you are looking for metal replacement cables.
