Review on Velvac 708515 Center Convex Stainless by Mark Powell

You buy those cheap things on Revain and you never know what quality you can expect. I bought this brand of Velvac because after some Googling I saw that it is actually a product that is sold in some dealerships and shipped in retail packaging, not just thrown in a box and shipped to god knows where. Mine came packaged as advertised and was all stainless steel, right down to the mounting hardware, as advertised. I wanted 100% stainless steel so it wouldn't leave rust marks on the white area where I was going to install it. As you can see from my photos, I installed it outside. It will be exposed to rain and snow and stainless steel will not rust. Mirror glass is of course fine. I don't like the black plastic ring around the mirror, but I suspect there's a reason for that. The mirror pivots left and right before you tighten it and has full range of motion afterwards thanks to the built-in pivot function. I don't know how well this will withstand vibration in a vehicle, but it's very stiff and won't sag anytime soon as I use it. I got it so I can see my garage out the window of my apartment. I want to see if I forgot to close it.
