My 12 year old daughter really enjoyed making lip gloss and lotions with this kit. This works well, although getting the right ratio of beeswax to olive oil can be tricky and the result is either too hard or too soft. She did everything very well. The candy shapes are cute, as are the round lip gloss jars. However, there really isn't much in it for the price. "Gift bags" are small clear plastic bags. Not even ONE flavored or scented oil is included. So unless you go in and invest in it, all your lip glosses will be plain; Luckily we had orange essential oil and peppermint extract on hand for her to use. The kit also does not include base oil; You must provide your own olive oil which luckily we had. The "purely natural ingredients" advertised in the product description consist exclusively of beeswax granules; Any flavorings or oils you add are "all natural" only if you buy them. Adding these items really increases the cost of the kit, and not having them on hand can ruin the fun of getting this as a gift. So for your $20 you get plastic, a brochure, some stickers and some beeswax. Again, the kit works well here, but don't expect to be able to make lip balms without additional purchases.
