This works much better than I thought. I resoldered the car radio and soldered a lot of wires. The heat shrink tubing made the most sense, so I ordered this kit. The heat gun works great with the system and was much better than the hair dryer as the heat was more concentrated/directed and the different sizes and colors allowed me to organize and coordinate speaker wire, power, ground etc. I also appreciated this case's coverage and ease of use. The important thing to note is that the sleeves will only work if they are first pushed onto the wires and then soldered. When the sleeve is cut and slipped over the wire, it will not shrink properly and will not hold/protect the exposed wire as intended. If you make a mistake and forget to put the sleeve on the wire before soldering, the wire will have to be disassembled, the sleeve added and soldered again. I've tried making a few shorts and fixing it but had no luck unless the sleeve was intact and placed over the wire to fix it or even solder it at all. Great price and ready to use. I would recommend if you need this type of electrical wire repair protection application to avoid bare connections / potential electrical shorts.
