I built the porch and in short the guy did a poor job. He had no idea what he was doing and misplaced my steps resulting in a 4WD car not being where it should have been for me to finish the porch railing and have a railing on each side of my steps . If I'm having a hard time imagining what I'm talking about, I'm sorry. If you know exactly what I'm talking about because you're in the same boat, this is for you. They can also be used in other applications. Granted, they're not as ornate as some of them. They're pretty basic, but the point is, they do all the work for you. They are a good weight and can hold the 4x4 just right. I have nothing to complain about about the product itself. Ease of installation. Easy to remove if necessary. Simple in everything. I wish this manufacturer would sell them separately. About $13 a case isn't bad, but right now I'm stuck with two of these that I don't need. If you only need one, there might be cheaper options than being forced (for lack of a better word) to buy two more that you don't really need. If you think you'll end up using them, what the heck! take action. Nonetheless, it's still a great product. Thumbs up!
