Well made half pad. I did experience slipping with it, which was frustrating as that was part of the reason I chose to purchase this pad. While riding in it I could tell it was a great shock absorber and initially my horse was very comfortable in it, until it began to slip backwards. Was not as thick as I expected, and the pressure on my horse's shoulders and beneath the panels at the deepest part of the seat did not disperse as well as with a sheepskin or firm memory foam half pad. There was still significant pressure points in these areas with this half pad. I am hoping with a better fitting saddle I will be able to use this half pad, but I don't believe it to be appropriate for improving saddle fit. The back edge is quite long and extends past the edge of my AP saddle pad even when the half pad is placed past the front edge of the AP pad. Not a huge deal but may be a problem with a short backed horse.
