Review on Cal Van Tools 104 03 Finger Socket by Myron Lovro

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A useful niche tool for the tool collector in your life

These finger screwdrivers are by no means a must-have for the professional or DIY enthusiast, but I use them a lot more than I first anticipated. The main reason I bought them is to tighten a nut or bolt with my fingers. And they are perfect for that. The slight bend makes them easier to turn than a bare bushing. And you can also use them as an adapter to turn a 1/4 socket with a 3/8 ratchet or vice versa, although you're usually better off getting the correct ratchet instead. is to attach the socket to the ratchet if I'm going to be hand tightening a lot. It's faster to turn the adapter than the ratchet handle, then you can easily apply the final torque with the ratchet without loosening anything first. Saves me a lot of time if I reach for the tool first with foresight. These little guys would be at the bottom of any mechanic's list of essential tools. I wouldn't recommend using them to compensate for not having the right size sockets and ratchets. But if you have a well-stocked toolbox and are looking for a little helper to make your life easier, then this is a much better investment than the many little useless tools you see out there.
