So I bought this for diving/beach vacations so the GoPro would be more comfortable to hold. It does exactly what it's supposed to do and looks good, many people forget that without the GoPro grip it's quite uncomfortable to hold due to its small size, it makes it a lot easier. While I really like this product and have never had to rely on it to do the job when diving, I am a bit nervous. about how it does its job from 90 feet down. The reason for this is that if it somehow managed to "break" out of my vise-like grip, I would have had to surface pretty quickly to retrieve my GoPro. Getting up to retrieve my GoPro before it floats away is not something I want to do. Personally, for most recreational diving applications (total water depth less than 110 feet) I would rather descend and remove the camera and it would take longer to surface at the end of the dive. this product, but the question of its use in relation to deep recreational diving.
