Review on 💻 TRENDnet TEW-444UB: The Ultimate 108Mbps Super G USB Adapter by Michael Tegan

I have 2 of these on 2 different computers, both smoked as soon as plugged in. I installed the driver first, restarted the computer by plugging in the USB, then it starts to emit a burning smell. I immediately unplugged it from the USB and plugged in the flash drive to make sure my computer was fine. And it behaves the same way on the second device on my new computer, behaves exactly the same. As soon as the computer restarts and logs on, it smokes. In both cases, the USB ports on both PCs are fine. Asked Trendnet for help, no comment on the matter and asked me to pay the shipping cost for the return!?!?!? I wouldn't buy this brand again for a long time. RMA #105049 - Product #110095 and 110097.
