Great product, great price. I have a 2017 Toyota Highlander and it fits perfectly. The lower part is fastened and the upper elastic is simply twisted. Elastic stretches well. A typical bungee cord type material. There's space at the bottom, but all you have to do is put things in the grid, not behind it. 7/14/17 - Updated to take a photo (finally lol), also bought a liner and covered it up as shown in the picture. Still holding on
