Indispensable when measuring stairs!
This looks like a quality item. You can get a similar item at a hardware store (but made of plastic) a little more than twice as cheap! Don't be cheap! It's definitely worth a few bucks more! The metal is thick, the fittings have brass inserts. And it even comes with a small piece of hardwood so you know what stick size and material to buy. Clamps hold wood well (no slipping). After I've finished the stair treads I plan to use them to measure the shelves for the alcove. Great tool! Great overall value!
