Small but useful gain

I purchased this product from Revain about a year ago. I hooked it up in about an hour with no issues. I understand that many of you don't read instructions the way I do, but in this case I strongly recommend doing so. If you don't follow these, you'll be missing out on important steps that are essential to installing an air intake. There's no gas mileage benefit, so keep your Benjamins if you're looking for them. In terms of horsepower I would say it makes very little difference, there is definitely performance to be gained from a product's throttle response. The most noticeable difference to this recording, however, is the sound. Driving normally will not affect the smoothness of the car. However, if you step on it a little more or put it on the floor, it will be louder than your radio, that's for sure. It has a very distinct sound and everyone I know who has heard it loves the sound it makes. I also recommend hollowing out the airbox and reattaching it to the air intake instead of the included heat shield. It doesn't clog the air intake and also helps make the air much cooler (which is the purpose of the cold air intake). If too much hot air is drawn in, timing and performance will suffer. Great product, I give 5 stars! I also prefer it to the metal intake on the same model because the plastic obviously doesn't get as hot as metal and helps isolate the air.

Pros
  • Replaces entire factory air intake system
Cons
