Sounds good! in the air intake

Installed this weekend on my 2003 Envoy and am very pleased. There's a peak power increase, and there's at least a 1mpg increase, which is pretty big when you're only getting 15mpg to start. The best part is the sound it makes when you step on the gas and it really starts to suck in air. My old man said that in the 70's people would flip the top of their air filters to get that big car sound. I highly recommend this product.

Pros
  • Easy install, typically takes 90 minutes or less
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

The only thing that bothers me is the heat shield.

Firstly, it will fit Chevrolet Trailblazer 02-05 vehicles, although the "Make Sure It Fits" label indicates it does not. Installation was pretty easy, the only thing I would recommend is buying a small hose clamp to attach to the crankcase ventilation pipe (not included). The audio is pretty low unless you really step on it, then it becomes very noticeable and will definitely drown out your radio. However, the heat shield is really bare and that air intake is still getting warm with the heat…

You can feel the difference! Power for my Chevy Trailblazer 4.2!

This will be my fourth K&N intake system on a car I own. I have always doubted all of them when buying, including this one. But they always seem to surprise me. The burst of power and the sound of cold powerful air rushing into the air intake is phenomenal! I can't help but push the pedal all the way down. Power is felt at all rpm ranges, but as you rev up the power only builds until the engine shifts into a higher gear, and then you do it over and over again. I built my own intake system at…

  • Designed to improve engine response and sound

  • Can't remember but there was something

Small but useful gain

I purchased this product from Revain about a year ago. I hooked it up in about an hour with no issues. I understand that many of you don't read instructions the way I do, but in this case I strongly recommend doing so. If you don't follow these, you'll be missing out on important steps that are essential to installing an air intake. There's no gas mileage benefit, so keep your Benjamins if you're looking for them. In terms of horsepower I would say it makes very little difference, there is…
