I needed to cut some pressure treated 4x4 pine poles just off the floor so the only option was a jigsaw. Since none of my blades were long enough to make this cut I ordered them after reading the positive reviews. Although they got the job done (cutting four posts in about half an hour), the blades didn't go through the cut very well. Sometimes it cut as usual, but other times I had to apply quite a bit of pressure and rock the blade back and forth to get through the wood. When it was hard there was a lot of smoke and the smell of burning wood. Maybe that's the standard and my expectations were too high. However, if you're cutting pine or something softer, they will. I wouldn't rate them as heavier.
