I would recommend purchasing a regular Whirlpool factory part in place of this duplicate. It was an exact replica but not cast correctly. There are spring tabs that hold the post in place in the raised position, but they didn't work. I had to take a lighter and melt them in two places to make them work. Again, just buy a factory part and avoid the inconvenience. I'm an appliance repair technician and have installed "Whirlpool" over a dozen times with no problems. It works flawlessly every time and with the right factory kit you get a torx bit for the included screws. With this example you should better have a torx bit in your hand, otherwise you have to go to the hardware store.
