This is a very simple serving tong, suitable for snacks or small meals. They are larger than sugar tongs but much smaller than buffet tongs. The metal isn't shiny, but it's not flimsy or flimsy either. I found them flexible enough to be easy to manipulate (I have nice sugar tongs that are very stiff and nasty so that's important). Haven't washed them in the dishwasher yet but they look like a material that can handle it. They take up very little space, which is a plus for me. They are suitable for serving snacks, small sandwiches or for pinching a brother under the table.
