worked PERFECTLY on my 03 Trek. It was pretty easy for me to install and even without the right special tools, but be aware that without the special tools mentioned (technically 3rd "cup" removal tool, "cup" indenting tool) you can easily make your own with it a long bolt, wide washers and nut, and a tool to fit the bearing race to the fork) if you are not mechanically savvy enough and don't have access to various tools, perhaps seek help or take it to the store. And use fat to make pressing easier if you try to do it yourself. Good product! VERY IMPORTANT! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you have a 1 1/8" steerer tube, non-tapered and appropriately sized bearings (can't remember the part number at this time). I was afraid it was 1" but the bearing sizes matched mine , so I assumed my headset was 1 1/8" and yes, as I said, perfection!
