Review on 📚 Efficiently Organize Documents with NeatReceipts Mobile Scanner and Digital Filing System for PC by Vince Preston

I have used Neat Software for many years. I bought the Neat Receipts mobile scanner rather than the desktop one, mainly because of the price, but having owned it for several years, I really appreciate its portability. Every year we have the opportunity to travel at the end of the year and I take my mobile scanner with me and hook it up to my laptop. In the afternoons, when things are light, I spend a few minutes preparing reports and "end-of-year" summaries in preparation for January's tax payment. I no longer had to use a shoe box to keep all my receipts each year, instead using a manila binder for the simplest of forms for which I keep paper versions. The scanning and registration process has become more tedious in recent years as the system has now transitioned from a desktop application to a cloud-based web presence. The process is cumbersome and slow, but the end result is convenient and rational. Can it be improved? Immeasurable I think. But it does what I want, even if it takes longer than I want. Recently I couldn't log into the web application and scanned receipts weren't showing up in the image viewer. I could still see them through the web portal, but trying to switch from web software to web portal files was driving me crazy. After speaking to support via live chat, I went through a remote session where a Neat engineer had access to my screen while I observed the process. Within 20 minutes the problem was fixed and I learned a little bit more about how to fix the program if this problem occurs again. What a great piece of technology! LOTS of kudos to her. If I could find something more efficient and economical than Neat I would definitely consider using it. But what I have with Neat is pure gravy compared to the time-consuming process of storing and sorting paper receipts year-round!
