Not recommended for new purchase

I have been using this scanner and software for over a year now. are problems. The biggest is that NeatReceipts no longer supports it or the software. Also, no cleaning products or parts are provided for the scanner. Therefore, I advise against buying this scanner. Scanner: I find that inserting the long side of the receipt into the scanner works quite well at first. The placement of the receipt with the short edge has to be redone often (sometimes several times). This cannot be avoided as many

Does the job well, but has its drawbacks

To be honest , I don't know how to write this review. On the one hand, I was pleased that this small device made it easier for me to capture receipts, as well as some other advantages of the file system. On the other hand, due to some of the regular issues I've had with it, I found this thing absolutely disappointing considering how many years the company has been customizing the product. It might not be the Ritz, but it's a handy, working solution to paperwork.

I have used Neat Software for many years. I bought the Neat Receipts mobile scanner rather than the desktop one, mainly because of the price, but having owned it for several years, I really appreciate its portability. Every year we have the opportunity to travel at the end of the year and I take my mobile scanner with me and hook it up to my laptop. Not so neat, absolutely avoid!

NEVER USE THIS PRODUCT! The software is poorly designed and contains many bugs. It worked (slowly) for a while and then suddenly it just stopped. Let me explain the basic setup. The Neat software is designed so that you have the Neat desktop program that you can open and run. They scan receipts and can edit information. You then need to sync it to Neat Cloud, which is essentially an online mirror of the desktop software. From Neat Cloud you can then send these receipts to Quickbooks. Now when…
