Thanks for sending me the CD that actually works. I just returned one that came from a was sold by another company called Mkroyo for $25.99 This is supposed to be an updated version. The product was given a negative review. Unlike the other one, this CD drive (arrived today) came with a manual. The instructions point to it Points out that it automatically asks for a region or country code before playing a DVD movie for the first time. I dialed my code and the movie started without further delay. My computer is a 2019 13" MacBook Pro. No problem playing movies. Another manufacturer's CD drive was noisy and then stopped working. This CD drive is quiet. I also think it took me longer to read the included mini manual than it did to start the movie. It's pretty fast. A music CD was inserted and immediately opened to select all the songs on the computer with a message asking me if I wanted to import them into iTunes. It's your decision. There is a recess under the CD drive where the cable is not visible. It lies flat on the table and you won't know what the cable is underneath until you lift the drive. It's easy too. I hope that the CD drive continues to work without problems. I have to admit that neither the whole film nor all the songs played from the music CD. If this fails in any way I will send a second review.
