Very good for making small spoons
I use this tool to cut a hole when making small spoons. It is effective when used in a hand drill for this purpose, although it is better to make a small and shallow pilot hole. A heavy duty drill press would probably be more efficient for cutting drill sized pockets. It quickly clogs with wood dust, but if you work on it, they will be removed quickly enough, or the tip will be periodically cleaned with acid. brush or something. Works great and stays sharp even after many uses.
