This item is just about ok. You have to press really hard for it to work - the textured side makes it easier to hold, but if you have an icy window you need this side to get started - and the large side is awkward to hold, making it difficult to get started. Once you can use the big side, it's better. If you can't reach the center of the windshield (which is difficult in an SUV, especially for short people), it's ineffective as it can only be held in your hands. As usual, I had to warm up the car to look through the windshield.
