Cheap but good: air filter
. I've used cheap air filters every 236,000 miles. My car started badly at idle. My throttle body was so dirty that the throttle plate stayed partially open. I cleaned the throttle body and everything is fine. Scott Kilmer says that if I've changed the filter a lot, I've used cheap air filters.
- AVOID INCREASED ENGINE WEAR caused by dirty air intake filters, which can allow harmful particles into the engine.
