I bought this to polish my dice and you can honestly say it wasn't designed for that. I've never molded wheels, but I suspect the motor isn't as easy to stop on the larger models. Because it's small, it's easily knocked over if you move anywhere off-center of the platter, and you can hear the motor strain and see the platter spin at an awkward angle. However, if you need it in a pinch, it will get the job done, it just takes a little training.
