This thing is tiny. It's great to have in your pocket or attach to something when you need to see something but don't have a large scope or binoculars. I actually prefer the Carson 7x18mm monocular. It's slightly larger, but still small enough to keep in a convenient place. If you want to carry a monocular on your keychain, then the 6x18 would be a good candidate. The optics are what you would expect from a tiny inexpensive monocular. Useful when you want to check if it really is a big foot across a creek.
