Review on 🐠 Seachem Safe Concentrated Dry Conditioner, 8.8 Pound Container - for Freshwater and Saltwater Aquariums by Barb Cook

SAFE is a powdered form of Seachem Prime that is shelf stable as long as the powder remains dry. In my opinion the best water additive that reliably controls chlorine, ammonia, chloramine (some cities are now using it instead of chlorine), nitrites, nitrates, some heavy metals and hydrogen sulfide. Unlike other products that claim the same or similar effects, SAFE does not cause a dangerous pH shift (into the acidic range) that can lead to a sudden pH drop. In addition, SAFE can be overdosed up to 5 times without harming the fish. In addition, it can be used in the pond or aquarium circuit to retain the harmful by-products of the nitrification cycle without harming the fish. I ran a "crude" experiment with Prime, SAFE's liquid form, to test some of its claims. See attached photo. Roughly speaking, at first I didn't know how much ammonia, nitrate or nitrite I had, only the test was very positive! Due to an overdose of the product, the second test was negative. I love this product and always have it on hand.
