I replaced my car radio specifically for Android Auto and needed an extension/adapter that could be installed in the dashboard. After reading many reviews, I found that all of the competing products I reviewed had over 15% negative feedback on Android Auto connectivity and stability. This device didn't have many reviews but since they were all positive I decided to give it a try. I've been using it at least once a day for a couple of weeks, 10 minutes to an hour each time, and haven't had any problems. I will inform you if this changes. I used a 3/4" bit to drill a hole in the dash, the adapter fits snugly and securely.
