That's great, I need an extra USB port since my main device had USB on the back. Use a step drill bit and it mounts flush and looks almost like a standard drill bit.

A cable hanging from the dashboard is not the best option. Thats much better. Simply drill a 3/4" hole in the dash (make sure you have at least 1 1/2" of clearance behind you. 2" is even better), thread the USB cable through the hole, plug Put them together and tuck them in. Hole. Did.

They are just perfect for our needs. We love their short length and sleek design. We use them every year in a control panel for one of our clients and they are the only ones that work for us. Works well and allows USB connection. Care should be taken when drilling the hole and installing. Incorrect drilling or incorrect size can cause the fastener to come loose. I'd rather have a screw cap on the back than plastic clips that are difficult to move or remove, but that's about it.

Like most reviewers, I didn't want the USB cable dangling under the dash from the new head unit I installed. I didn't want to drill a new hole in the dash, so I used an unused cigarette lighter socket. It had a black plastic ring around the metal part of the cigarette lighter. This plug almost fits on this plastic part. I hot glued it to the plastic and put it back where the cigarette lighter was. Looks like he should have been there. Works perfectly.

Really. I installed this on a Nissan Frontier to clean up the setup of my new head unit. The installer let the USB interface dangle out of the glove compartment like an umbilical cord! I cut a nice clean hole in my panel and installed it in about 15 minutes. The locking clips keep it in place nice and tight (make sure you measure before you cut!) and it works great with both the iPhone 11 and OnePlus 6t. PAC makes quality material!

I recently installed a new multimedia receiver on my 2001 F150 SCREW with USB input. Well instead of dangling under the dash I bought this little adapter. I installed it on the underside of the dash in the same color and it looks stock. I use it all the time. It fits snugly in the hole I cut out, but just in case I put some hot glue on it to keep it from dangling. So far I haven't had any problems and it works great. Sounds good.
