Review on Make Perfect Ravioli with the Bellemain Large Ravioli Maker by Kim Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for beginners

This was my first experience of making ravioli and I have to say I really liked this ravioli maker. It is very easy to use and very durable. It has small pads that keep it in place while in use. It has never shifted for me even when I used a rolling pin. Don't skimp on the flour. Pour it in there, for example, and the ravioli will immediately pop out. The first few times I just sprinkled it lightly with semolina. Then, after that, I threw in a bundle of all-purpose flour and that seemed to do the trick. As a matter of fact. Feel free to suffer. Fortune favors the brave. And I really want to press down with a rolling pin. I used my old wood because I was afraid of scratching the non-stick coating. It is very good. Maybe at some point you just have to use your fingers, if the stylus doesn't work it's all the way down. Not sure what others have complained about the sharp edges. Mine weren't jagged at all. I would think they need to be at least a little rough to cut the dough? Mine were just right for this, definitely not so gross that you'd cut yourself or anything. So far I love it and can't wait to use it again soon!
