Not sure if it's food grade

Upon opening the package, I immediately noticed that the material of the item was starting to leave a "shiny residue" on my hands. It was a very small amount, but I still wondered if this item was even edible. Not sure what the rest is, maybe aluminum or something. I returned this product because I wasn't sure about the safety. Maybe the part I bought was defective. Please check it carefully before use.

It can drive you crazy! Stay away.

Don't waste your money. It ruined the ravioli for me. It's a lot easier to make ravioli without that awful contraption. Just say no. I had to throw away a lot of delicious ingredients because I chose these things. And since I bought two to speed up the process, I decided to hand wash one and put it in the dishwasher. The one that went through the dishwasher was ruined, but it doesn't matter if they both end up in the bin.

I love this device! Not the one that collects dust!

This ravioli machine is awesome! After 30 years in the kitchen I've just started making my own pasta. I know shame about myself. I've tried making ravioli in other ways after squeezing the dough, but it's always been an epic fail with air pockets and leaking filling until I try this product. Perfect spinach and ricotta ravioli for my hungry teen this past weekend. He ate it all and this pasta maker made home cooking possible with no fuss. Highly recommended! BTW, this is a pre-made photo, but I

perfect ravioli best tool for pasta and pizza

Worked great. I kneaded pasta dough in a KitchenAid mixer and then rolled it out with the KitchenAid pasta roller. I made a nut ravioli filling and then made indentations in the dough with this machine. I then filled each cavity with about a tablespoon of filling, covered with another sheet of pasta dough, and then rolled with a rolling pin to compress the ravioli. After removing the ravioli sheet from the metal frame (I recommend dusting it well with flour beforehand), I ran a pasta cutter…

Great kitchen tool - pasta and pizza tools

Some say it sprays oil, others say otherwise. All I did was flour at the bottom of the dough sheet. All came out fine. I have all the Kitchen Aide rollers and the flat roller spreads the dough wider than necessary - perfect. I just finished my first attempt at making ravioli. I used the manacotti filling recipe with a scoop of fresh mozzarella and a chunk of parmesan and can't wait to try it tomorrow. I almost bought the Catch The Wave DOUGH crimping roller, but ordered it immediately after…

Don't be like me and learn the hard way!

The instructions don't mention oiling or flouring the metal frame before use, which is a pretty important detail to just drop. After the first dozen became hopelessly stuck and I had to scrape them out of the frame, I wiped my tears and started over. I sprayed liberally olive oil on the metal frame and bottom of the plastic mold and the next 4 dozen came out of the mold easily and unharmed. Some other advice I learned the hard way. I found rolling out the dough in mode #4 was the right…

Great for beginners

This was my first experience of making ravioli and I have to say I really liked this ravioli maker. It is very easy to use and very durable. It has small pads that keep it in place while in use. It has never shifted for me even when I used a rolling pin. Don't skimp on the flour. Pour it in there, for example, and the ravioli will immediately pop out. The first few times I just sprinkled it lightly with semolina. Then, after that, I threw in a bundle of all-purpose flour and that seemed to do…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Compatibility

I panicked and almost returned it after opening it and finding the sharp edges around the metal holes. After reading the reviews, I saw that at least a few people complained about the poor metal shape, saying the edges would tear the pasta and render the whole thing unusable. I decided to try anyway. In the end it worked almost like a charm. Here's what I learned: 1. You have to thrive the way you really mean it. I dusted each piece of metal with grit before each batch. Most of them came out…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
